I had 3,000/4,000 displaying and now it says 0
The 4,000 points are set as a monthly recommendation. If you use the app multiple times a week consistently, you will see the best results, thus the 4,000/month goal. When you are active in the app(yeah, you!) and earn more than 4,0000 points in a month, it resets. The points do not disappear, just the calculation on your home page updates.
